|Dartford Residential Centre||London||Major project installation (London & South West Division)||2016||£55K|
Working in partnership with a major construction company IWP Dansk has been involved with the refurbishment of a grade II listed building in Dartford, South East London that is currently being turned into a residential care home.
After many years of neglect, the property is being restored to its former glory and will provide six independent apartments as well as staff accommodation. The property on Spital Street was badly damaged during the Second World War and over the years has lost many more of its original features.
IWP Dansk was tasked with restoring and renovating all the original sash windows as well as replacing over 50 panes of crown glass. The site has local archaeological interest and the developers were very keen to ensure they retained the original features of the property.
IWP Dansk manufactured, off site, and installed ten period windows to replace the existing casements with the crowning glory being the manufacture of a full oak bow window complete with con curved glass.
