|Princess Building||Halifax||Restoration & Install team (Yorkshire & West Division)||Nov ’14 – Sept ‘ 17||£0.15M|
The perfect fusion of old and new! Restoring the old Halifax bank and building a new extension to the building which coupled together form the new council offices.
We restored, repaired and draught-proofed all the old single glazed sliding sash timber windows. We also manufactured and installed the new windows for the extension block to match into the existing. The windows here were extremely large, over two metres in height, which proved some challenges just in the operating of them.
We also helped develop a bespoke aluminium ‘Z’ bracket support system to carry the weight of these windows to the new structure of the extension.
A labour of love to bring this building into the 21st century. We enjoyed working with the site team at ISG and look forward to doing more with them in the future.
